Uniden SC230-HS2 The Uniden SC230-HS2 is a compact 1600 channel handheld scanner with headset jack for flexibility and portability. The Uniden SC230-HS2 features 800MHz coverage for Public Safety announcements and includes the most interesting "action" bands where you can hear police, ambulance, fire, amateur radio, public utilities, weather and more. Frequencies are preset in separate service searches: public safety, railroad (by channel), air, marine (by channel), CB (by channel), GMRS/FRS (by channel), weather, news media, ham radio and special.

The Uniden SC230-HS2 has an array of special features including Close Call™ RF Capture Technology allowing detection and display of nearby radio transmissions; great for sporting events such as NASCAR. The alpha tagging feature makes it easy to identify the driver talking. The Uniden SC230-HS2 has an easy to read display for low light conditions with Uniden's patented backlight-on-squelch feature that illuminates only when there is channel activity. The Uniden SC230-HS2 is easy to program, scan and select the race and drivers without wasting channels.
